The Kilgoris Project is seeking a part-time (10 - 15 hours per week) Development Consultant based in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have experience:

• Working in a non-profit environment focused on one or more of the following areas: serving marginalized populations, expanding access to education and health care, a strategic focus on clean water and sanitation for children and communities, partnering with rural communities.

• A proven track record of setting income goals and meeting/exceeding targets.

• Building new partnerships and relationships for funding and ongoing program support and expansion.

• Leveraging existing relationships to grow funding streams for The Kilgoris Project.

• A mission-driven attitude and self-directed work ethic.

Desired qualifications and skills for this position include:

• Nairobi-based (or nearby)

• Strong network in the nonprofit/development sector within Nairobi and throughout Kenya (preferred)

• Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills

• Strong written and verbal communications skills

• Social media/tech savvy

• Strategic fundraising and project planning experience
